This programme teaches independent living skills to enable students to lead a much more fulfilled life within their intended setting.

Objectives:

  • Provide students with adequate experience and knowledge within tasks around the home
  • Provide students with adequate experience and knowledge within tasks out in the community

  • Provide students with adequate experience and knowledge about the surrounding environment

  • Provide students with adequate experience and knowledge within all necessary independent living skills be that supported or unsupported.

Each student will individually have the programme built to suit their needs and will address all of the 5 main areas of ECM. Especially focusing on Having a Healthy Lifestyle, Keeping safe, Achieving educational standards, Engage in further education and finally engage in decision making.
