ImageThe two year Horticulture course gives students the opportunity to gain an understanding of horticultural practices and roles. Sessions are split into theoretical and practical parts, introducing the students to both background knowledge and practical horticultural skills.

This includes information on the growing cycle/year, health and safety, horticultural work places etc. and the practical application of planting, weeding, harvesting and using tools and introduce students to the world of work, giving them the opportunity to experience work in a real-world context where they can develop work based skills and social skills in the wider environment. The course continues to embed basic skills and supports the students developing independent living skills. The course links to RARPA.
